ASME Standard

In the United States, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). ASME developed flange and piping standards defining the dimensions, materials, strength, and testing of these products. The flanges are manufactured to all applicable ASME standard

A flange is a projecting disc-shaped collar or rim on an object for locating or strengthening it or for attaching it to another object. Flanges are used for making connections for piping.

In the United States, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). ASME developed flange and piping standards defining the dimensions, materials, strength, and testing of these products. The flanges are manufactured to all applicable ASME standards commonly known as ASME flanges, which include ASME B16.5, ASEM B16.47, ASME B16.48, etc

1. Material (Similarity):

The flanges (DIN standard and ANSI standard) is made of carbon steel, stainless steel as well as alloy steel.

2. Design Pressure (Difference):

The DIN flanges prssure is PN2.5/PN6/PN10/PN16/PN25/PN40

The ANSI flanges pressure is 150LBS/300LBS/400LBS/600LBS/900LBS

3. Type (Difference):

Plate(DIN2573 2576 2502)

Blind(DIN2527)

Loose(DIN 2673 2674 2675 2676 2641 2642 2655 2656)

Weld Neck(DIN2627 2628 2629 2630 2631 2632 2633 2634 2635 2636 2637 2638)

Threaded(DIN2565 2566 2567)

Slip On(DIN86029 86030)

4. Installation (Similarity and Difference):

DIN standard flange is connected with DIN pipeline products, and ANSI flange is used in American standard piping systems,

They are all connected by bolts.
