Cast steel valves are steel used for casting castings. A casting alloy. Cast steel is divided into cast carbon steel, cast low alloy steel and cast special steel. Cast steel is a kind of steel casting made by casting method. Cast steel is mainly used to manufacture parts with complex shapes that are difficult to forge and cut, and require high strength and plasticity.
Forged steel refers to forged products manufactured by various forging and forging methods. Because the quality of forged steel parts is higher than that of cast steel parts, they can withstand greater impact, and their plasticity, toughness and other mechanical properties are also higher than cast steel parts, so all important mechanical parts must be forged steel parts.
The difference between forged steel valve and cast steel valve:
Forged steel valves are of higher quality than cast steel valves, can withstand high impact force, and have higher mechanical properties such as plasticity and toughness than cast steel. However, the nominal diameter is relatively small, usually less than DN50. The rated pressure of the casting valve is relatively low, and the commonly used nominal pressures are PN16, PN25, PN40 and 150LB-900LB. Forged steel valve grade: PN100, PN160, PN320, 1500LB-3500LB, etc. Cast steel is mainly used to manufacture parts that are complex in shape, difficult to forge and cut, and require high strength and plasticity.
Casting is liquid forming, and forging is a plastic deformation process. The forged workpiece improves the internal structure of the organization, provides excellent mechanical properties and uniform particles. Work pieces that require a lot of effort must be forged. Casting can cause structural separation and structural defects. Of course, casting has other advantages: the advantage of forming complex workpieces is that it is not easy to open the mold for forging, and casting is used.
